Last year, the campaign theme #PledgeForParity was committed to helping women and girls achieve their ambitions, as well as calling for gender-balanced leadership, challenging bias and valuing women and men’s contributions equally to create inclusive flexible cultures. The eg ladies held an event to discuss these issues and whether there were any areas for improvement within the company.
This created a great deal of interest from the eg gentlemen; some wondered what we were discussing and why we needed to have a meeting to discuss gender issues at all, others wanted to be invited to participate.
They need not have worried. The ladies concluded that are no gender issues at eg and we are all treated very well by our gentlemen colleagues. They got a huge thank you from the ladies!
